"Invincible" is a song by American musician MGK featuring American singer Ester Dean. The song was released on April 24, 2012, serves as the second single from MGK's debut studio album Lace Up, and was produced by Alex da Kid.[1] The song was also featured as a background song in the popular video game Watch Dogs by Ubisoft in 2014 which later led to the song being increasingly popular.
Ester Dean posted a Part 2 version of the song in August 2012 onto her SoundCloud page. The Part 2 version features the raps made by MGK removed and replaced with Dean's vocals. Unlike the original song, the Part 2 version has 3 verses.[7]
MGK shot a video for the single, which featured a cameo appearance from the singer Ester Dean. The video was uploaded on YouTube under his Vevo account, on June 3, 2012. The video, directed by Isaac Rentz portrays the struggle and triumph of everyday people in the clip, which depicts an unexpected pregnancy and neighborhood brawl. In his scenes, MGK rushes to a hospital to check on his daughter, who happens to reunite him with his ex-girlfriend. Singer-songwriter Ester Dean roams the hospital hallways, singing the chorus.[8]
WrestleMania is WWE's most high-profile event of the whole year every year. WWE has evolved WrestleMania into a show that carries so much importance that WrestleMania is now presented over two nights on a single weekend. Along with the matches, whoever is involved, WWE selects theme songs for WrestleMania that are both culturally relevant and complement the event's vibe overall.
The songs that WWE has chosen over the years have ranged in genres, such as hip-hop and rap, pop, rock, metal, and some alternative. No matter which genre, these theme songs have effectively added to WrestleMania and made it more exciting.
"Touche" is a rock song by the band, Godsmack, and it was released in the same year as WrestleMania 20, 2004. This song features a good blend of drums and guitars while telling a story about relationships and how you are treated as you treat others.
"Ladies And Gentlemen" is a song combining rock and metal by the band, Saliva. It was released in 2007 and it is a song very befitting for WrestleMania. There is a sound effect throughout the song that resembles being in an arena while the singer describes in somewhat graphic detail how much excitement the fans will experience.
"I Made It", a hip-hop and rap song by Kevin Rudolf featuring Birdman, Lil Wayne, and Jay Sean, features both singing and rapping. Kevin Rudolf and Jay Sean sing, while Birdman and Lil Wayne rap, and the overall message are about how hard work and perseverance eventually pay off.
There is a vibe of proving any critics wrong and making a success out of one's goals. All of these aspects of this song are consistent with WrestleMania and these artists were popular at the time of WrestleMania 26, so it was a good choice for this show.
"Written In The Stars", a hip-hop and rap song by Tinie Tempah featuring Eric Turner describes how self-confidence and betting on yourself are key to achieving one's dreams. There are vibes of overcoming obstacles and putting in the time and effort to prove critics wrong.
Between the message of the song and the background music that complements it, "Written In The Stars" was a good pick for a WrestleMania theme song. This applies especially for WrestleMania 27 since the defending WWE Champion that year, The Miz, has proven that message to be true.
"Big Time" is a song combining the pop and alternative genres by the band, The Soundtrack Of Our Lives. The song describes how the time has come to embrace the future and how everyone will be included in that future. That idea is key to WrestleMania 21 because WWE was in a state of transition at that time as far as creating new main-event wrestlers was concerned.
"Superstar" is a rock song by the band, Saliva, and the song describes a person who wants to become famous at the expense of an already-established star. The song also describes the luxuries of that very fame, such as limousines and appearing in magazines. "Superstar" was a very appropriate choice for WrestleMania 18 because a legendary wrestler on that show was in that position.
The Rock wrestled Hulk Hogan that night, with Hogan putting him over, so The Rock could be recognized as a superstar on Hogan's level for in the future. Considering how much of a superstar The Rock is today, "Superstar" was the song to promote that match.
"My Way", a song combining the rock, metal, and rap genres by the band, Limp Bizkit, was a great choice for WrestleMania 17. The main-event match that night, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs The Rock, was promoted as one of the biggest matches ever at WrestleMania. That ended up being true, with this song describing how two wrestlers with big egos want to fight one more time to establish their dominance.
Both Steve Austin and The Rock wanted the match to go their own way, for both the WWE Title and to be viewed as superior to one another. "My Way" was a great song to represent that story, which is why WWE fans remember it well years later.
"Light It Up", a rock song by the band, Rev Theory, describes a person living life to the fullest and enjoying their experiences. That song was popular in the rock genre at the time and the message was consistent with WrestleMania. The fans attending WrestleMania are there to enjoy the show and the wrestlers put on the show to entertain those fans.
"Rise" is a song combining dance and electronic music by well-regarded DJ, David Guetta featuring Skyler Grey. This song describes how even if someone gets knocked down and feels as if their hope is lost, they can still get back up and rise above the barriers.
The bass in this song is very intense and entertaining while telling the story of WWE wrestlers getting knocked down in their matches and willing themselves back up to win. Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns headlined WrestleMania 31, so Reigns definitely had to rise up to fight Lesnar.
This rap song by Machine Gun Kelly, featuring Ester Dean, describes how a person who dealt with adversity in their past has the ability and power to work hard for their own success and dreams. Machine Gun Kelly was describing his life story in this song, and the same message was applied to John Cena for his match versus The Rock.

WCW's next big attempt to regain ratings supremacy was by marketing ex-NFL player Bill Goldberg as an invincible monster with a record-breaking winning streak. Goldberg was incredibly popular from the outset, with chants of 'Gold-berg, Gold-berg' heralding his approach to the ring, but business still quickly fell off for WCW, especially as the list of stars ready to be destroyed by Goldberg grew shorter. One of WCW's last genuine wins in the Monday night ratings war was on July 6, 1998, when WCW aired the long-awaited World Title match in Atlanta between Hogan and Goldberg (which Goldberg won), on free television. This significantly increased the rating for the show, but only for that week.[46] On September 14, 1998, WCW won the ratings war once again with a memorable moment that featured Ric Flair's return to WCW and the reformation of the legendary Four Horsemen. On October 25, 1998, WCW's Halloween Havoc PPV ran longer than the time allocated because of the last-minute addition of a Tag Team Title match. As a result, several thousand people lost their PPV feed at 11pm during the World Title match between Diamond Dallas Page and Goldberg.[47] The following night, WCW decided to correct the fault by airing the entire match for free on Nitro and won the ratings war for the final time.[48] 2b1af7f3a8
