Yesterday I played with my brothers, and we made some great music using the Wii U Pro Controller and the Wii U GamePad to play Super Mario Maker. Here are some of the results of this experiment!
By all reports Super Mario Maker is a game, well-done, filled with builder-friendly tools, and an ambitious effort from Nintendo. However, a reader pointed out something that doesn't properly showcase Maker's potential to me. While it's great to develop a fully-fledged adventure game with a complex narrative, the game really isn't one, and it's hard to get a handle on how much I do, and don't, need to develop something to fit in with the Maker template.
This project will let us watch a boring game/bio unfold in real time just like the current events on TV. Thanks to Langdon Kinesis, we have the code for the first dummy of this project. This will be a motion comic where we'll find out the plot of Super Mario Maker and the very first bio of a certain \"OG\" Nintendo character. Here's a sneak peak of the first podcast of this project!
By completing levels created by Nintendo themselves within the 10 Mario Challenge mode you can increase the number of sample courses available to you on Coursebot's list. 56 sample courses can be unlocked, so keep playing 10 Mario Challenge to unlock them all.
Since Nintendo is still working on the database they have not yet released a definitive list of the expansions on Coursebot's website. When they do, they'll be added to the list of expansions here in Game Informer.
For the first time, all 8 Super Mario Bros. games will be available in one all-in-one box. I wish I had a screenshot from my friend of him playing it, but he was so addicted that I don't think he paid attention to it at all. He spent most of the fun playing as Diddy Kong, learning how to backflip. He ran over Mario a lot, until time ran out. 7211a4ac4a
