The film was banned by the Afghan government on 6 January 2007, with the organisers of the film festival in Kabul being told by police to halt screening of the movie. The organisers complied, and the film was shown at the festival only after it had been screened abroad. The organisers of the Cinéma du Monde Film Festival in Kabul would not show the film.[11]
The film was allowed to be screened in the Philippines following the intervention of religious and social groups. However, the movie's distributors said that the decision to screen the movie was influenced by the U.S. government's anger at the banning of the movie in Afghanistan, and that the government had pressured the Commission to ban the movie. The Australian film distributor, Pacific Magianet, said that as the Cinémathèque Française funded the film, and wanted to release it in the Philippines, the Cinémathèque should have been more sensitive to the government's wishes.[15]
This version, titled War, was initially banned by the Philippine Commission on Censorship, which cited the movie's depiction of ethnic discrimination between Pakhtuns and Hazaras, who are mainly Shia. The Commission voted 12 to 2, five of whom were appointed by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, to ban the movie, and there was an uproar in the Philippine media.[14]
The MATLAB environment is based on the MathWorks MATLAB® Compiler, or MMC, which is a proprietary language developed by MathWorks to facilitate the building of applications. MMC understands the MATLAB language and various task APIs and provides efficient intermediate language compilers for compiling functions and scripts.
The MATLAB® Engine is the core of the MATLAB product. It compiles, executes, and interprets MATLAB scripts and programs, as well as runs the M-files and M-links created by the MMC. It also allows the exchange of data between MATLAB applications, the MathWorks M-files and M-links, and other programming languages, including C, C++, and Visual Basic. 827ec27edc
